Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I install a Pevex stove myself?

All solid fuel installations must be notified to Building Control. By using Woodburners Southwest, you receive a HETAS Certificate of Compliance, which is a legal requirement for home insurance and future house sales.

Every stove has a specific “distance to combustibles.” During our survey, we measure these accurately and can use twin-wall insulated flue pipe or heat shields if space is tight.

Built with high-quality steel and cast iron, they are very reliable. We recommend an annual service to check door seals and firebricks, along with a professional chimney sweep.

Protecting Your Investment with Woodburners Southwest

A Pevex stove is a high-performance heating appliance — not a commodity. Buying online or from an unqualified installer puts your warranty, your safety, and your HETAS certification at risk. Woodburners Southwest are fully qualified HETAS engineers and authorised Pevex dealers. We handle everything from the initial survey and heat calculation through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing servicing. Your stove is in expert hands from day one.
