2. Our Services

Woodburners & Fires Southwest provides the supply, installation, and servicing of wood-burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, pellet stoves, and associated products including flue systems, chimney liners, and surrounds. We also offer maintenance, and expert survey services across Cornwall and the Southwest of England.

3. Quotations and Pricing

All quotations provided by us are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change after this period. A quotation does not constitute a binding contract until we have received your written or verbal acceptance and, where applicable, a deposit payment. VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate where applicable.

4. Orders and Bookings

Once you have accepted a quotation and made any required deposit payment, we will confirm your booking in writing (by email or letter). It is your responsibility to ensure that all details provided to us — including property access, chimney specifications, and any relevant planning or building regulations requirements — are accurate and complete.

5. Deposits and Payment

A deposit of up to 50% of the total order value may be required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the installation or delivery of goods. We accept payment by bank transfer, card, or cash. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order or booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellations made after a deposit has been paid may result in the forfeiture of some or all of the deposit, depending on the stage of the order and any costs already incurred by us. Cancellations of installations within 48 hours of the scheduled date may incur a cancellation fee.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that the installation area is clear and accessible on the agreed date. Any structural or chimney issues identified during the survey must be addressed prior to installation. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel an installation if the site is not ready or safe to work in.

8. Liability

Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant goods or services. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Warranties

All products we supply are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Our installation workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, or failure to follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Woodburners & Fires Southwest or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

11. Website Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not use our website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairment of its availability, or in any way that is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
