Frequently Asked Questions About F2 Fires
What is the difference between the Vue Landscape and the Vue Portrait?
The primary difference is the aspect ratio. The Landscape is wider, suiting modern extensions or large fireplaces, while the Portrait is narrower and taller, fitting traditional, upright fireplace openings.
Do I need a chimney liner for an F2 stove?
While not always mandatory, we strongly recommend a 316 or 904 grade liner. F2 stoves are highly efficient; without a liner, flue gases can cool too quickly, leading to condensation and chimney damage.
Can I burn wood and coal at the same time?
Yes. All current F2 Fires multi-fuel stoves are DEFRA approved, meaning you can legally burn wood in Smoke Control Areas throughout Devon and Cornwall.
Are F2 Fires stoves DEFRA approved?
All F2 Fires stoves are suitable for use with a 12mm glass hearth, as well as traditional stone or tiled hearths. Please refer to the individual product specifications for minimum clearance distances to combustible materials.
